The teaching facilities for this course shall meet the venue requirements specified by the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China for GMDSS General Operator Training.<\/p>\n
Equipment and Faculty Requirements.<\/p>\n
1. Teaching facilities must include multimedia theory classrooms and training rooms equipped with actual communication devices and simulators.<\/p>\n
2. Teaching equipment and simulators must include Inmarsat-C ship stations, Inmarsat-F ship stations, MF\/HF equipment,<\/p>\n
VHF equipment, NAVTEX receiver, weather fax receiver, EPIRB, SART, two-way handheld VHF, etc.<\/p>\n
Standby power batteries for actual equipment and vessels. Equipped with a network comprising a master unit and 20 terminals, certified by the Maritime Safety Administration.<\/p>\n
GMDSS simulator for the network.<\/p>\n
3. Documentation must comply with the International Maritime Organization's 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) regulations.<\/p>\n
The International Telecommunication Union Radio Regulations or the Maritime Mobile Service Manual, the Ship Station Table, the Coast Station Table,<\/p>\n
Radio Work Log, GMDSS Examination Syllabus and Assessment Specifications, Table of Maritime Radio Signals (Volumes 1, 3,<\/p>\n
Volume 5) and the GMDSS Practical Training Record Form, among other documents.<\/p>\n
4. Instructors must meet the following requirements: \u2460 Complete the GMDSS operation training organized by the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China.<\/p>\n
\u2460 Teacher training; \u2461 Graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields, with junior-level certification.<\/p>\n
To qualify for promotion, candidates must possess at least 6 months of teaching experience in GMDSS system knowledge and operation, or possess at least<\/p>\n
Completed a 3-month maritime communications internship and passed the GMDSS General Operator examination and assessment; or holds<\/p>\n
First and Second Class Electronic Officer Certificates, with no less than 6 months of instruction in GMDSS system knowledge and operation.<\/p>\n
Internship experience; or a bachelor's degree or higher in a maritime major with a Class A maritime chief officer qualification or higher.<\/p>\n
Valid GMDSS General Operator Certificate, with no less than 6 months of instruction in GMDSS system knowledge and operation.<\/p>\n
