Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS)

Marine Instrumentation is a core skills course in the five-year higher vocational education program for Marine Technology, and also one of the practical examination subjects for the Third Officer Certificate of Competency. Through this course, students primarily learn the basic functions, components, structure, principles, operation, and maintenance of marine instruments. It cultivates students' fundamental ability to use and maintain marine instruments, equipping them with the essential competencies required for marine officers in operating such equipment. Its prerequisite course is Marine Instruments.

Unlimited Navigation Zone:The onboard system has obtained ECDIS-type certification (in accordance with the IEC 61174 standard) and is a complete Electronic Chart Display and Information System that integrates signals from various sensors.

Coastal Navigation Areas:The onboard system has obtained ECDIS-type certification (in accordance with the IEC 61174 standard). An ECS system that meets the requirements of the China Maritime Safety Administration may be selected, provided it is equipped with an interface for sensor signals.
