描述
Anti-exposure suit
The anti-exposure suit is a protective cover designed for use by rescue boat crews and personnel of maritime evacuation systems, and its use is similar to that of life jackets. However, the requirements for thermal insulation are lower than those for life jackets. The anti-exposure suit is made of waterproof material, has a certain degree of buoyancy and stability, allows the face and hands to be exposed, and is equipped with a lifejacket light and a whistle.
Exposure-resistant clothing shall comply with the provisions of the LSA Rule and may double as a life jacket if it meets the requirements of the Rule for life jackets.
If the anti-exposure suit is made of non-naturally insulating material, the wearer must wear it together with warm clothing when it is used. The anti-exposure suit, when worn with the warm clothing that must be used, shall provide sufficient thermal protection after jumping into the water and being fully immersed in the water to ensure that the wearer's body temperature does not cool down at a rate greater than 1.5°C/h within the first 0.5h of being in calm running water at a temperature of 5°C.
