Manufactured from copper in accordance with IMO International Code for Fire Safety Systems. The working pressure is 1.0Mpa. One end is a flat flange, the other end is a permanently attached interface with hydrant and fire hose on board, the interface specification can be divided into Dg50 and Dg65, which can be used on all kinds of ships.
The Role of the International Tongue & Groove Connector
One end is a flat flange, which is a standardized device used internationally; the other end of the IFC is a permanently attached interface with the ship's fire hydrant and water hose, and the IFC interface is consistent with the ship's own hydrant and water hose interfaces. All vessels must be equipped with at least one international through-shore connector. In the event that the ship's fire pump fails, the IWC is used to bring fire water from shore or other facilities into the ship's fire hose system to continue fighting the fire.
Parameters and specifications for International Through Shore couplings refer to the FSS Fire Service Equipment Code as follows:
1 Scope of application of international through-shore couplings This chapter specifies the norms for international through-shore couplings required by Chapter II-2 of the Convention.
2 International code of practice for through-shore joints
2.1 International standard dimensions for through-bank joints
The standard dimensions of the flanges of International Tongue & Groove couplings shall be in accordance with the following table.
Outer diameter 178 mm Inner diameter 64 mm Bolt circle diameter 132 mm Flange notches 4 holes of 19 mm diameter, equally spaced on the above diameter bolt circle, slotted to the outer edge of the flange Flange thickness at least 14.5 mm Bolts and nuts 4 pairs, each pair 16 mm diameter, length 50 mm
2.2 International through-shore joint materials and fittings
The International Through Shore Fitting shall be made of steel or other equivalent material and designed to withstand a working pressure of 1.0N/mm2. The IWC shall be kept on board together with gaskets of any material suitable to withstand a working pressure of 1.0N/mm2, the IWC together with 4 nuts and 8 washers of 16mm diameter and 50mm length.
