November 1, 2022, South Communications--Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jiangsu Royal Wind”), which provides core training equipment, has successfully completed the first batch of offshore wind power operation and maintenance personnel safety skills training. 28 operators from offshore wind power owner units successfully passed the examination and obtained the “Certificate of Competence of Offshore Traffic Safety Skills Training for Offshore Facility Staff”. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiangsu Royal Wind") successfully completed the first batch of offshore wind power operation and maintenance personnel safety skills training. 28 operators from the offshore wind power owner units successfully passed the examination, obtaining the "Certificate of Competence for Offshore Traffic Safety Skills Training for Offshore Facility Staff", marking the official opening of the Nantong region of the offshore traffic safety skills to make up for the gap in the training.
High-standard training equipment to ensure combat-oriented training
The training was carried out in strict accordance with the "Administrative Measures of the People's Republic of China on Marine Traffic Safety Skills Training for Staff of Offshore Installations" and the requirements of the supporting syllabus. Wuhan Yirun, as a leading supplier of maritime safety training equipment in China, tailored a full set of training facilities in line with international standards for Jiangsu Yifeng, including:
-
Helicopter Underwater Escape Simulator--Highly restore the emergency escape scene at sea to enhance the trainees' ability to escape from danger underwater;
-
Closed lifeboat practice system--Simulates the process of lifeboat release and operation in rough sea conditions;
-
GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) simulation terminal-Strengthening maritime communications and emergency coordination capabilities;
-
Fire extinguishing simulation cabin--Acquire skills to fight offshore facility fires through real fire drills;
-
Duty watch and emergency decision-making simulation platform--Combined with virtual reality (VR) technology to enhance the ability to study and judge the situation in complex environments.
Integration of industry and education to build maritime safety defense line
Jiangsu wind as Nantong's first with the Maritime Bureau certification qualification training institutions, relying on Wuhan E-Run to provide advanced equipment and technical support, to achieve the seamless integration of theoretical teaching and practical exercises. The training covers seven modules, such as personal survival, fire fighting, emergency communication, etc. Through the mode of “scene restoration + pressure test”, it significantly improves the trainee's ability to cope with the actual combat.
“Wuhan E-Run's equipment fully meets the requirements of the maritime training syllabus, especially the dynamic simulation system which makes the training effect far more than expected.” The person in charge of training in Jiangsu Royal Wind said.
Serving National Strategy Enabling Safe Development of Offshore Wind Power
With the rapid development of China's offshore wind power industry, the demand for standardized training of safety skills for practitioners has surged. The cooperation between Wuhan Yirun and Jiangsu Yufeng not only fills the gap of high-end offshore safety training resources in the Yangtze River Delta region, but also outputs the first batch of licensed professional operation and maintenance team in the industry.
In the future, the two sides will further deepen the cooperation and upgrade the training system around the direction of “intelligent and green”, so as to provide a solid guarantee for the safe and sustainable development of the offshore new energy industry.
