Coastal Radio Station Table
The teaching facilities for this course shall meet the venue requirements specified by the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China for GMDSS General Operator Training.
Equipment and Faculty Requirements.
1. Teaching facilities must include multimedia theory classrooms and training rooms equipped with actual communication devices and simulators.
2. Teaching equipment and simulators must include Inmarsat-C ship stations, Inmarsat-F ship stations, MF/HF equipment,
VHF equipment, NAVTEX receiver, weather fax receiver, EPIRB, SART, two-way handheld VHF, etc.
Standby power batteries for actual equipment and vessels. Equipped with a network comprising a master unit and 20 terminals, certified by the Maritime Safety Administration.
GMDSS simulator for the network.
3. Documentation must comply with the International Maritime Organization's 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) regulations.
The International Telecommunication Union Radio Regulations or the Maritime Mobile Service Manual, the Ship Station Table, the Coast Station Table,
Radio Work Log, GMDSS Examination Syllabus and Assessment Specifications, Table of Maritime Radio Signals (Volumes 1, 3,
Volume 5) and the GMDSS Practical Training Record Form, among other documents.
4. Instructors must meet the following requirements: ① Complete the GMDSS operation training organized by the Maritime Safety Administration of the People's Republic of China.
① Teacher training; ② Graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher in telecommunications, electronics, or related fields, with junior-level certification.
To qualify for promotion, candidates must possess at least 6 months of teaching experience in GMDSS system knowledge and operation, or possess at least
Completed a 3-month maritime communications internship and passed the GMDSS General Operator examination and assessment; or holds
First and Second Class Electronic Officer Certificates, with no less than 6 months of instruction in GMDSS system knowledge and operation.
Internship experience; or a bachelor's degree or higher in a maritime major with a Class A maritime chief officer qualification or higher.
Valid GMDSS General Operator Certificate, with no less than 6 months of instruction in GMDSS system knowledge and operation.
Internship experience.
