IMDG Labeling Chart

I. Packaging of dangerous goods

       Except as otherwise provided in the IMDG Code and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, the material, type, specification, method and individual mass (weight) of dangerous goods packaging shall be compatible with the nature and use of the packaged dangerous goods to facilitate loading and unloading, transportation and storage. Dangerous goods packaging, containers must be obtained by the designated certificate of professional production enterprises designated production. Any unit or individual without a designated certificate shall not produce packages and containers for the packaging of dangerous goods. Packages and containers must be tested and inspected by recognized professional testing and inspection institutions before they are used.

II. Dangerous Goods Packaging Marking & Labeling

       Except as otherwise provided in the IMDG Code, the shipper shall, when delivering dangerous goods for carriage by sea, indicate that they are dangerous goods so as to enable persons engaged in any way in the carriage of such goods to identify them and to exercise the necessary care and precautions.
