Full Mission Engine Simulator
The standard merchant vessel meeting AUT-0 requirements serves as the base model. It must simulate the operation of main engine room equipment and systems based on actual ship drawings, operational points within piping systems, and parameter display points. The engine room simulator's operational response, fault configuration, and scenario recall must align with the actual vessel.
1. Hardware Platform Requirements:
It should be capable of simulating the external layout of the central control room and can simulate the external layout of the emergency generator room and engine room.
(1) Simulated Central Control Room: Equipped with a central control console and main distribution panel. The console features a host remote control screen, critical parameter display screen, auxiliary equipment monitoring screen (including the engineer safety system), and engine room monitoring and alarm system screen. The main distribution panel must include at least generator control screens, parallel operation screens, combined start-up screens, power load screens, and lighting load screens. It must demonstrate generator set functions including manual/automatic start-up and shutdown, parallel operation and disconnection, frequency/load regulation and voltage control; load-tiered disconnection, emergency shutdown, and other capabilities.
(2) Emergency Generator Room Simulator: Equipped with generator control panels, power load panels, and lighting load panels, it enables simulated operation of primary equipment within the emergency generator room.
(3) Engine Room Simulator: Equipped with engine room simulation operation devices, it enables flexible simulation of actual engine room operations with responses matching those of a real vessel.
2. Software Functional Requirements:
(1) It should be able to simulate the actual ship's operating interface and operational procedures.
(2) Must be capable of simulating the following systems: Fuel (delivery, purification, and supply) system; Lubricating oil (delivery, purification, and supply; stern tube lubricating oil) system; Cooling Water (Seawater, Low-Temperature Freshwater, High-Temperature Freshwater) System, Compressed Air System, Main Propulsion Control System, Boiler Oil, Water, Steam, and Wastewater Systems, Steering Gear and Its Control System, Generator Diesel Engines and Their Auxiliary Systems, Electrical System (Including Main Power, Main Emergency, and Minor Emergency Power Sources and Systems), Monitoring Alarm, Engineer Safety, and Extended Alarm Systems, Fire Detection and Alarm System, Engine room oil-water separation system, sludge and incineration system, engine room water supply system, sewage treatment system, engine room bilge ballast firefighting system, engine room ventilation system, internal communication system (emergency telephones shall be installed at the steering control station, central control station, and engine room control positions). Air conditioning and refrigeration system, engine room local fine water mist fire suppression system, seawater desalination system, deck machinery.
(3) Capable of displaying, operating, controlling, adjusting, testing, fault detection, alarm management, and administration of simulated equipment and systems. Able to demonstrate responses under various operating conditions, sea states, and scenarios, and capable of simulating interconnections and responses between systems with accompanying audio-visual effects.
(4) Capable of simulating team coordination and cooperation in routine operational scenarios, which should include at least: cold engine start-up, engine preparation and shutdown, maneuvering navigation, steady-speed navigation, anchoring, port departure and arrival operations, fog navigation, and fuel and lubricant replenishment.
(5) The system shall be equipped with and installed with instructor station software, which shall provide initial environmental condition setup, process control, and fault setting capabilities.
