Marine Instrumentation is a core skills course in the five-year higher vocational education program for Marine Technology, and also one of the practical examination subjects for the Third Officer Certificate of Competency. Through this course, students primarily learn the basic functions, components, structure, principles, operation, and maintenance of marine instruments. It cultivates students' fundamental ability to use and maintain marine instruments, equipping them with the essential competencies required for marine officers in operating such equipment. Its prerequisite course is Marine Instruments.

【Performance Features】

The NAS-1000 is designed in accordance with the requirements of IMO specifications, such as IMO MSC.246 (83), IEC 61097-14, and is an emergency communication device for lifeboats (rafts).

It is characterized by long communication distance, easy to be received and detected, and little influence by weather and sea conditions.

The NAS-1000 transmits a string of position report messages alternately on the two AIS default frequencies, AIS 1 and AIS 2.

Due to its special identification code and position reporting features, surrounding AIS ships can recognize AIS-SART alarms very easily.

The NAS-1000 utilizes a high sensitivity, low power consumption built-in GPS module.

The NAS-1000 is designed with low power consumption to ensure that the unit can operate continuously for more than 96 hours.
