Simulation design, restore the real ship operation scene
“With strict reference to the international shipping standards, ”Tongda" is equipped with a full set of equipments such as anchor cable device, hatch cover lifting and releasing system, rescue boat and releasing device, various fire extinguishing systems (carbon dioxide, foam, water mist), ship's lighting and signaling system, etc., which highly restore the core functions of modern bulk carriers. Students can carry out more than 20 items of practical training such as anchoring, fire drill, life raft operation, gangway stowage and release, etc., realizing a seamless connection from theory to practice.

Covering all dimensions of training, helping to cultivate shipping talents
As a comprehensive training base, “Tongda” can meet the multi-level training needs of seagoing vessels and river crews, including basic safety, third mate/third stewardship, advanced firefighting, proficiency in first aid and other more than 30 certified training, especially for the inland waterways of passenger ships, oil tankers, chemical tankers and other special ships to provide accurate support for the training of personnel. The person in charge of the college said, “‘Tongda” will significantly enhance the students' job adaptation ability, and deliver more skilled professionals for the Yangtze River Delta inland navigation and ocean shipping industry."
